These days, hair restoration isn't limited to hairpieces and quack ointments. Not only are effective drug and topical treatments available, laser therapy and a variety of surgical procedures can put real hair back on your head within a few days or weeks.

Don't believe the hype about a hair treatment unless it's scientifically proven. At this point, the only topical treatment that really grows hair back is Rogaine (minoxidil), and the only effective drug is a pill called Propecia. Everything else is snake oil.

Even the best medicinal methods of hair restoration don't work for everyone, and even when they do, the regrowth may be sparse. The only way to restore a full head of hair is through surgical or cosmetic means (i.e., a hairpiece or hair extensions).
