If your hair is thinning rather than balding, consider non-surgical hair restoration. In this sort of treatment, hair is bonded to existing hair to provide a fuller head of hair. This is not recommended, however, if your hair is falling out -- or you might loose your new extensions.

Don't expect any hair restoration technique to miraculously return you to the way you once were, not matter what the commercials say. Restoration techniques can offer you a better look and boost your self-confidence, however, and that may be all that matters.

Remember that the final results of a surgical hair restoration technique can take months to become clear. This is because hair tends to grow only at a rate of about one-half inch per month, and sometimes it takes weeks for the transplanted hair to even start growing again.
