Before going through with a hair restoration procedure, ask your provider if you can see before-and-after photos of previous customers. A professional won't mind you asking, and will be happy to share photos with you. If they don't, go with someone else.

These days, hair restoration isn't limited to hairpieces and quack ointments. Not only are effective drug and topical treatments available, laser therapy and a variety of surgical procedures can put real hair back on your head within a few days or weeks.

Don't believe the hype about a hair treatment unless it's scientifically proven. At this point, the only topical treatment that really grows hair back is Rogaine (minoxidil), and the only effective drug is a pill called Propecia. Everything else is snake oil.
