Between your podiatry visits, check your feet on a daily basis, especially if you stand or walk a lot. Look for blisters, discolored and crack toenails, calluses, cracked skin, and other problems. Serious issues should be reported to your podiatrist.
Here's podiatry tip you won't hear very often: when buying new shoes, wait until at least the afternoon to try on shoes, since your feet tend to swell during the course of the day. Buy a pair too early in the day, and they'll be painfully tight by evening.
